This whisky comes from the Sasanokawa Shuzo company and is located in the Fukushima prefecture. Yamazakura distillery itself was closed/merged in 1998. Some of the whisky was stored in other containers for a while before getting finished in fresh bourbon and wine casks and some of the malt in this bottle is up to 20 years old. This one of the few official releases bearing the name ''Yamazakura''
